Radiological Reviews

An objective review of X-rays, CT scans and MRI films are often an important step in evaluating a claim. Signet offers reviews by qualified, credentialed Radiologists and Neuroradiologists on all types of diagnostic films. Independent radiology reviews can often determine the presence of pre-existing and/or degenerative findings that can help clarify issues of causality.

Signet offers a retrieval service to help expedite the procurement of films and remove the administrative tasks from the claim professional's workload.

This service includes the following:

• At your door service to pick up an authorization for release
• Contact the facility and obtain cost of duplication
• Payment is made directly to the facility for duplication by Signet
• The cost of duplication is passed through to the customer. A copy of the invoice from the radiology facility is attached with our final report
• Once the films are received, they are hand delivered to an independent Radiological Heath Care Professional for review
• A thorough, objective report is submitted by the HCP within ten days
• Final report and films are delivered to the customer

The status of the referral is available at any time during the process and/or on a predetermined timetable by telephone, email or website updates.

All Radiology Heath Care Professionals on our panel realize that their evaluations are only part of the process and the need to testify is essential to the completion of their review. Signet will assist in this process by coordinating testimony with our panel of experts, at no additional cost, whenever necessary.
